Hello There!

I'm going to get the sack as a scrapper :) Certainly not going to win prizes for a regular blog post.

But enough of that - I'll just get on with a couple of layouts which might be slightly more interesting.

My DD and her friend dressed up for their school play.  They looked very sweet until they had a chocolate pudding. They looked like they had lost their teeth with all that chocolate!

I had a little phase of experimenting with my Distress Inks and some old inks I've had lying around.

I love the way you can get any colour title or background which will always be unique.

The feathers were cut out on my silhouette. I then spread the Distress Inks (Worn Lipstick and Marmalade) onto a messy mat and spritzed with water. Nothing new but I did add a gold ink (Momento) to the mix. It added a beautiful sparkle in real life.

Next up, I have done a couple of layouts for Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn. Ceri has a great selection of lovely goodies and I got the fantastic Life Documented! from Simple Stories.

I started off with Hello New Year paper which is a sun burst made from lots of patterns. To funk it up I cut out the papers and trimmed them.

I sprayed yellow ink underneath before adding some stamping. I still hoard papers after all these years - a habit I've not been able to break. So those little pieces I save from other projects always go on a treat as small flags (which I still love).

The Simple Stories Bits & Pieces  are awesome - there's loads of fab die-cuts to tuck in here and there. I tend to buy those as they are great value for money and will go happily alongside many papers and themes.

So thanks for bearing with me. I appreciate that you still make the effort to pop in.

Incidentally, I am teaching a class at a local crop who are celebrating their birthday in September. They have organised a SUPER weekend of crafting and scrapping with lots of brilliant teachers (Helen Pritchett, Katy Leitch - Craft Stamper, Louise Collins, Lisa Phillips, Deb Gregory).

There are two places available due to a couple of cancellations. The Moxley Crop is in the West Midlands (WS10 8RT). Please contact Deb or Lisa - moxleymassive@hotmail.co.uk if you would like more information.
