Best Memories

I may have mentioned this before (once or twice at least!) but our trip to Bristol in August was fabulous!

I would highly-recommend the Bristol Hotel which was superbly refurbished and overlooked the  quay.

There were just so many things to do and fabulous locations to photograph.

I just love these papers I had from Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn ages ago. I've mixed in some more from MME and bits and pieces from here and there.

My favourite bit about the layout are the teeny-weeny pinwheels.

Just adorable!

You should be able to get all the bits and pieces from Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn including the fab buttons from Stash Panache.

I'm so excited as we're off to the Harry Potter Studio tour in a couple of days. I'm pretty sure that I'm more excited than the kids! Woo Hoo!

Thanks for stopping by.

Creative Craft World Retreat

I taught a class for Creative Craft World last week at their retreat. The ladies were all so lovely.

I shared my prototype with you on my last post whilst I was waiting for my kit.

I added stamps from Simple Stories and Stickers from Echo Park as well as watercolour paints and a few things of my own including a button from Colour Fresh @ Stash Panache.

We used the watercolour paints in several ways during the class including the colour runs and splattering. I think the girls have lots of techniques and ideas to go away with and use on layouts of their own!

Thanks for popping in.

Bristol Love

Just a drive-by post.

We visited Bristol in August for the Balloon Fiesta.  I have to say that Bristol is TOTALLY FABULOUS! We were just so impressed by everything they had to offer and how FRIENDLY the people were. Whilst on our first day there we were hunting Gromits around the city and 2 people kindly stopped and asked us if they could help. How totally lovely!

Anyway, here is my first layout from Bristol. There will be many more to come because the city is just gorgeous!

These were taken outside M Shed - the fabulous museum. Seems funny to think that the kids wanted to stay for hours in a museum whilst on holiday.

I mixed and matched lots of lovely goodies from my stash - stuff from Elle's Studio, Basic Grey, Stash Panache of course.

The two buttons that you see I just love. They're from Word Up which I released last month. The cool thing is they'll go with so many fab papers and designs.

So thanks for popping in.

New Taekwon-do World Record

DD has been going to Taekwondo for the past 18 months and she has done amazing. She is already a blue belt. She went to the British Championships at the weekend and bagged herself a bronze and silver medal. WTG!

On Sunday, the Solihull Taekwondo UK club joined others from across the country to try for a new world record for the most people demonstrating Taekwondo at the same time.

Jade Jones who is Britain's Olympic Gold Medalist was there to cheer them on.

They did it! A new Guiness book world record was set at 428 people. There should have been extra credit because it poured down the whole time!

WTG guys!

Pink Tulip Workshop

I was teaching over at Pink Tulip Creations yesterday for the first time. It was great to meet so many new people and reconnect with some that I hadn't seen in a while.

We did some distressing, inking and tearing which the ladies thoroughly enjoyed and are able to take away the techniques to use on other pages of their own.

As we were sold out yesterday, I will be going back to teach the class again on 6th November at 6.30pm. If you would to find out more or book, check Pink Tulip or give them a call. Or if you're around the Warwickshire/West Midlands area, you should definitely pop along to Pink Tulip which is a really fabulous shop.

Thanks for popping in.

Crop Class

It's a bit of a building site around at house at the mo. The bathroom was ripped out today, the drains were being dug up and holes knocked in walls! There are also 20 bags of plaster in my hall just outside my new craft room! I'm so excited! I've not had my own space since we moved house so my craft things are scattered in nooks and crannies.

Anyway, we have a crop on 20th October and I'm teaching the class this month.

This month we'll be distressing to our hearts content with a distinct autumnal feel.

We will be using the heaps of pretty papers to create this pretty opening - a technique I used a while back for Merly Impressions.

Back off to the building site! Thanks for popping in.
