Another Week Flies by!

Gracious. That was another week that has flown past! So my promise to post more projects and info has been slightly delayed (for good reasons). Anyway enough chatter, more buttons. Firstly there are two new sets of buttons to tempt you.

Now you are not supposed to have favourites (or does that only apply to children?) but I do believe that these guys are my latest favourite pieces.

Both have a mixture of background colours, again I have endeavoured to create items that will co-ordinate with lots of different papers and paper styles. (Click on the pictures to super-size them!)

And for a little inspiration from some friends - old and new:

Firstly, Laury won some Boutique Buttons in my give away last month. She has created a super mini book

I love all the texture and layers in the book. She is brilliant at adding paint for texture  (something I struggle with).  The front cover looks like a brown envelope - how cool!

The inside pages are just as interesting.  Just love it!  Check out Laurence's blog for more pictures.  Thanks Laurence!

Next up, Riikka Kovasin - my talented friend in Finland created this beauty for a CSI challenge.

I'm rather partial to that lightbulb.  Such a great idea :) Check out Riikka's blog for more.

Finally, Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn are now stocking Boutique Buttons!  YAY!  They also have a brilliant sale on with 10% off your first order.  WTG. So go ahead and stock with lots of lovely goodies this weekend.

Thanks for popping in.

Clever Friends!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  It's been a very busy week for me (again).  Lovely Angel Crafts are restocking some of the Boutique Buttons plus I have new design hitting the shelves.  Woo hoo!

First of all those clever friends....

Firstly, the very talented and much adored Emma Trout has been playing with Boutique Buttons.  She opted for some gorgeous travel buttons plus a little thank you button (just love those moustaches). You can find Emma blog here. Thanks Emma!

Last week at the Solihull crop - I set the monthly sketch challenge.  This month, we used the Sketchbook365 sketch based on layout by Emma Stafrace.  This cute design was just so versatile.

Julie Taylor did a great job with the sketch - she won the prize pack donated by the lovely Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn.

Also loved this entry by Sue Chippendale.  Click on the photo to have a good look at the bottom right photo!  It did make us laugh.  Incidently, Sue is raising money Thyroid UK by doing a sponsored silence.  If you knew Sue, then you'd know that she has her work cut out!  So if you are feeling generous and want to support a good cause this weekend, hop on over to Sue fundraising page - I know she would really appreciate it! https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/suechippendale1

Don't forget you can buy Boutique Buttons from Merly Impressions and Angel Crafts and see the full range of buttons here.
Thanks for popping in.  I promise to share those new badges with you on the next post!

Weekend Inspiration

I have no idea where my mojo is at the moment!  I have about four unfinished layouts waiting for that something special to happen to them. Do you think they will finish themselves or the scrap fairy might finish them for me?

So I thought I would share some gorgeous layouts from some 'guest designers'.

Firstly, Riikka Kovasin created yet another gorgeous layout this time using a button from The Chatterbox.

I love the cute homemade background.

And thanks to Jackie Ashton who has let me share her layout with you.

Jackie has used buttons from The Dude with 'tude.  I'm thinking that James fits the bill perfectly! He is such a great, polite boy and a great credit to Jackie.

So as always, you can buy the Boutique Buttons from me at StashPanache.co.uk or Angel Crafts or over at Merly Impressions or finally at eBay.  Oh the choices!

Thanks for popping in. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Evidence that Life is Fragile

We all take life for granted, but I learnt the very sad news that Kimmy Sonksen has passed away after a very short battle with aggressive cancer. Although I did not know Kimmy personally, she was very talented and far too young to die.  My thoughts are with her family at this time.

There is a memorial fund set up for donations;
Just Giving - Kimmy Sonksen

I know that I will change my ways and make sure that I appreciate the life have I been given.

Onto button news.  I have some gorgeous layouts to share from proud owners of Boutique Buttons

Jackie Ashton has created a cool layout of her DS using a buttons from The Dude with 'tude and The Chatterbox

Jackie has put her fab Silhouette to good use I see too.

Thanks Jackie for the lovely inspiration!

Riikka Kovasin has also been playing.  She has used a button from The Happy Tourist to add a little focal point to her page.

Thanks Riikka!

I have added buttons to EBAY over the weekend as this may be easier for some people.  So you can now see them all HERE

Thanks for dropping by.  Happy scrapping!

Shmashing

We spent our summer holiday in North Cornwall this year.  With its stunning beaches and huge waves, we all had a whale of a time.  We even had great weather on the whole. A little reminder of one visit to Polzeath beach...
The kids had a Shmoo Shake after a particularly hot afternoon.  I couldn't resist the cheesy title.
Lovely Jackie cut out this chevron background on her Silhouette for me (gotta get me one of those). Having sat and stared at it for a while, I decided to go with putting lots of patterned papers behind it to build up the background.  I think as long as you use the same colour palette or tones throughout it works.

I added more bits from Dear Lizzy.  They go so well with The Dude with 'tude Boutique Buttons

A layered up some odd papers from various places adding some random washi tape, journal spot (Maya Road) and paperclip (Habitat).

See those blue alphas?  They're Heidi Swapp and have been in my stash for years!  I couldn't bear to use them for all this time but I have to shmove on!

I sneaked in another button from the Typing Pool.  Just love these guys - so versatile!

Thanks for popping in.
