More Rain...

Had torrential rain today for most of the day. Only got out Sainsbury's - oh how exciting. It did finally clear up about 5pm so we went out to the park. I didn't realise how much rain we'd had because everywhere was flooded.

Note to self: always bring out your camera.

There was a huge puddle, well more like a pond, covering the path. Jacob had rode thru before when it was much smaller, today was knee deep. Yep, you guessed it, he had to ride thru'. He didn't make it all the way of course. If only I had my camera. I might take him back tomorrow for a rerun.

At least this one is of much sunnier times.
Lauren and I bumped into Stitch at Animal Kingdom. He is Jacob's absolute favourite so I am devasted that we don't have photos of him.
Really struggling with Disney photos, because Disney papers are so not me. I have a huge pile of photos which are largely unscrapped.
Used Heidi Swapp stamps to create background. They are gorgeous and stamp so lovely.

More from Beavers Camp. We had a blast and wanted to capture some of the photos of our friends who were there.
Scenic Route Papers. Elsie alpha stamps.

Ooo I hear I'm in Scrapbook Inspirations this month. I hope my mag comes soon. I did the ready steady scrap challenge. The most difficult one because they provide you with a kit and compete against someone else. don't even know who won...

Yay we got sunshine!

Isn't the world a much better place when the sunshines. The kids broke up from school last week and it's threaten to rain for the whole 6 weeks.

So we've been to parks galore and wacky warehouses. My feet are aching.

Got a few entries to catch up on - all going on with a circle theme for some bizarre reason.

Still had the circle cutter out when I did this one. I liked the way the circle looked off the page so I cut the page down. Don't know how it will fair in the album though.
Papers: KI Memories, MAMBI

Boys at Camp. They are so potty in front of the camera. At least we got some useable shots. The circle cutter is really getting is full use now! Will put it away soon i'm sure. More KI Memories paper and lots of 7G stuff still going on.

Oh Sunny England

We went to Beaver (Scout) Camp yesterday. It was my first one. DH has just got back from Denver so I went with the kids (he joined us later).

The weather was perfect yesterday, warm bright and sunny - I thought this camping lark is fantastic. We had proper boys activities although Jacob was more interested in exploring and digging in the dirt.

We had a ceilidh (prounounced kaylee) which is basically Irish folk dancing. What a blast. I haven't laughed so much in years!

It started raining overnight and didn't stop this morning. But once i had got over the rain bit, i thoroughly enjoyed myself still.

It's all the mucking in and community spirit that I truly enjoyed. We were all in it together (well most of us were). I think that those with that can-do sort of attitude will be back next year. I can't wait!

OMG I have been selected to join the DT for AllyScraps. YIPPPPEEE!!!!

I got a phone call from Dana at AllyScraps yesterday. I nearly fainted! All I wanted to do was shout it from the rooftops, but not many of my friends scrap so they just wouldn't get it. Golly it means so much to me (someone likes my stuff).

If my week wasn't good enough already, Elsie Flannigan has agreed to provide some artwork for auction at our Charity Crop - the Elsie Flannigan! So if you are coming to the crop (it's 13th October) then you'd better have deep pockets, because you'll have to fight me for it!

LO of Ds on his school trip to the Wyre Forest. I was lucky enough to go along too (I love photo opportunities).
The boys were just being silly as usual, and the 2 girls were so sweet. We did pond dipping (looking for life in pond water) and bug hunting in the forest (girls were not so keen on this one).
Papers: Piggy Tales, My Minds Eye
Letters: American Crafts, MM
Stamps: Back Porch Memories, MM

We're off to Beaver camp this weekend and it is POURING with rain here. We booked up when it was lovely and sunny in April. Suddenly, camping doesn't sound so attractive! I'll let you know how we get on. We'll probably end up sleeping in the car. Have fun!

Wow. What a jam-packed day.

So yesterday was Jacob's school play. He plays Snitch, one of the bug-squad trying to erradicate all those mini-beasts. It was truly memorable. The songs were marvellous and the kids were brilliant. It amazes me how well all the kids do with 100 people watching them.

Later I get a phonecall from school - Jacob has tripped over and bumped his head and they think that he might have knocked himself out because he doesn't remember what happened and was really confused. 1 1/2 hours in casualty later - everything is fine.

Lauren goes to ballet as normal, we then go buy camping stuff for Beaver camp at the weekend and oh, we picked up 2 gerbils - Minnie & Max. They are soooo cute. The kids can't stop watching them. They had better keep up their end of the bargain though and clean the cage! We'll see... I'll try and upload some photos later.

LO is for my entry into Masterchef run by
Caroline Craftz

Journalling reads: I'm no perfect Mother. Wife. Housekeeper. Person. But I give 100%
Definately imperfect!

Papers: Fancy Pants, Foofala, Creative Imaginations.

What a Beautiful Day

See. My moaning worked about the weather. Non-stop rain for weeks and weeks and finally a whole day without rain (so far).

Good job too because we had to go to a 5th Birthday party today. Ahh Lolli dressed up in her as a cute little fairy complete with wand.

The girls were all playing with their dollies whilst the boys were trying to jump on each other! So typical.

Just catching up with some more LO's from the last few weeks or so.

I just love the daft things that Jacob does. This is from Dawlish at Easter. He does that funny dance on the beach that I just adore!

Used some papers from Scenic Route (Back Porch Memories).

Arrows - American Crafts

Chipboard - Heidi Swapp

Did this LO for Scrapbook Sisters who are running a garden/flower LO competition. I found it quite tricky doing a LO without people in it. I love Peonies. This one is my favourite (Sarah Bernhardt i think). It smells so gorgeous and its big showy flowers are a true sight. Unfortunately I missed the best of them this year, they flowered while I was on holiday and the rain spoilt the rest.

You can that I have been influenced by Carole Janson here - she has such stunning talent. Go check out her blog here. She as also agreed to create a LO for auction at the Crop. I am soooo excited.

Rain & More Rain
Will it ever stop? We're supposed to go camping next weekend with Beaver Cubs. Looks like we're going to be very soggy!

In light of all this drearyness, I thought I'd post a couple LO's when we had our summer in April. Lolli was wearing her beautiful dress on the most perfect afternoon and I've been dining out on it ever since. It's a shame that I can't keep just using the same photo - it really cheers me up!

I was really into little birdies a few months ago but seem to have got that under control right now. Just notice that my birdie's wing as gone astray on the photo. I'm loving that paper (fancy pants I think).

Another photo from the same time - told you it was a beautiful day. Don't you think Lolli's dress goes perfectly with my paper? What a coincidence!

The Spring stamp is Autumn Leaves (thanks Audrey). I'm desperately trying to use up my stash that has been around for a long time. I'm trying to get over that "it's too precious to use".

What Housework?
I hear you say.
Yes we're finally up and jogging. We have launched the website for our charity Crop in October. We're raising money for those lovely Cancer Research people so that they can find a cure for this horrible disease.

Why not come over and have a look at what we've been cookin up?

We've been having a great response from generous sponsors who will be donating prizes for the raffle and games. We've sourced some cute little treat bags which are absolutely gorgeous. Our lucky teachers will be benefitting from this little find too.

Hung Over

What a great day yesterday. I went to the Junction 7 crop with Nikki & Audrey. Thank you to Chris for such a great crop! Everyone was really friendly and I actually completed 2 LO's!

As if that wasn't enough we had a girlz night at Sarah's house. Left over wine from Paige's christening. I haven't drunk so much wine in ages. It helped when playing catchphrase on DVD till 1am. Boy was I paying for it today though!

Some more random LO's from the last couple of months...

Jacob at the pool in our hotel in Florida. The kids had such a great time in the pool. It's almost a shame that we didn't have more time there but it's impossible trying to fit everything in!

This is using Backporch Memories kit (June).

Ahhhhh. I think Ariel was one of Lauren's favourite character meetings. Until then she was really frightened of meeting the characters. She didn't want to meet Pooh or Tigger. But after this, she literally ran to them with open arms.

She really was so beautiful - really did justice to the character.
Stamps - Autumn Leaves.

A little while ago before we had all this rain, we actually managed to get to our local farm attraction. Jacob loves these zip wires. I like to use a bit of cardboard when I can.
